Project Controls Analyst (Remote)

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Project Controls Analyst to join our growing team in a fully remote role. This position will support project planning, scheduling, reporting, and controls activities across a portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically inclined, and comfortable working with project schedules and large datasets.

This role is well suited for someone with 1–2 years of experience who is eager to accelerate their career in project controls and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.

  • Support schedule analysis, progress updates, and forecasting activities.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project reports and dashboards.

  • Analyze schedule performance and identify potential risks or delays.

  • Work with project managers and stakeholders to gather schedule and cost information.

  • Use Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and summarize project data.

  • Assist with earned value management and project controls processes.

  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

  • Support process improvement initiatives and standardization efforts.

Qualifications

Required

  • 1–2 years of experience in project controls, project management, engineering, construction, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related discipline.

  • Experience supporting capital projects, utilities, energy, or infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, or SQL.

  • Exposure to earned value management principles.

Compensation

  • Initial engagement as an independent contractor (1099), with potential for transition to a full-time employee role.

  • Hourly pay: $40–55 per hour, based on experience.

  • Flexible schedule.

  • Approximately 20–40 hours per week, depending on workload.
